Granny Square Cross Stitch Patterns

I love it when crafts combine in fun ways, as is happening with these granny square cross stitch patterns.

Granny squares are iconic in crochet and they are a fun graphic element for cross stitch projects. These would make sweet pincushions or stitch them like a little blanket you can hang on your wall.

The small versions of the pattern are 19 stitches square, while the larger ones are 39 stitches square. If you’re stitching all the patterns you’ll need 16 colors.

The pattern was originally a stitchalong from Laurie Holt of Bee in My Bonnet Co. and you can download it from Fat Quarter Shop.
